!@#$%^&* Well i have heard "when are you gonna update your LJ" once too ofter here of late so i thought i'd give one
Life: got a job, i work at schlotzsky's deli on bridford. i like it there, they get my houmor and one guy calls me highwind after a final fantasy charactor. i have a phone now, you may request it if you don't have it already. still a bit into the anti-social thing, can't bring myself to go out and do things, been meditating alot too. back to being intovert.
Geek: Can't wait for the new star wars flick, kevin smith says its the SW film that we have all been waiting for for 6 years. i have also been really into the new battlestar galactica. like a lot of fans i was kindda pissed with the "reimagined" bit but it grew on me and its really a compeling peice of sci-fi (not to mention kara "starbuck" thrace {katee stakoff] is HOT!) and for the first time in a very long time i am egarly awaiting a tim fucking butron flick The Corpse Bride (i have a thing for russian fariy tales)
Volonteer work: "thank you for calling the NPR pledge drive, who would you like to make a pledge"
annoances: mom is out of town til my birthday. riding on the doughnut tire again. last time i went to goth night the only ppl there i knew were mary, her boy and olan.

76 days later... wow has it really been that many days. not suprzing really. i have been off LJ for a veriety of reasons (mostly avoiding reading perticular posts, there is only so much "jae won't talk to me" i can take, while feeling the exact same way). i just needed to get away from it and compose myself. i'm too stuburn. well i'm back. i make no pretence about how offten i will update. about as regularly as i used to, and i will disapper without notice again, but anyone can find me dispite that (email or just tell someone your looking for me). as far as an update, just wanted to tell everyone i'm alive and well, still unemployeed, regularly depressive and gaming more regularly than i used to. been hanging out (when i can) with brian, mary, karyn, kcat and whit mostly (i do intend to stay as neutral as i can in the recent drama there, too many long time friends involved, and i have so few friends that i don't want to lose any over it). and for refferance i DID NOT ever say leanna was definetly comeing home, it is a possibility, yes i would love it to happen but her career is more important than my desire to have my best friend home. well anyway, i might add something later, have fun all Current Mood: contemplativeCurrent Music: nin-kinda, i want to/nick cave-red right hand | | Wednesday, August 25th, 2004 | | 8:39 am |
Tips for Travelling in the South Avoid a Good Southern Ass Whuppin… Issued by the Southern Tourism Bureau to ALL visiting Northerners, Northeasterners, Northwesterners, Westerners and Southwestern Urbanites
1) Don’t order filet mignon or pasta primavera at Waffle House. It’s just a diner. They serve breakfast 24 hours a day. Let them cook something they know. If you confuse them, they’ll kick your ass.
2) Don’t laugh at our Southern names (Merleen, Luther, Tammy Lynn, Inez, Billy Joe, Sissy, Clovis, etc.) or we will just HAVE to kick your ass.
3) Don’t order a bottle of pop or a can of soda down here. Down here it’s called Coke. Nobody gives a flying rat’s ass whether it’s Pepsi, RC, Dr. Pepper, 7-Up or whatever… it’s still a Coke. Accept it. Doing otherwise can lead to an ass kicking.
4) We know our heritage. Most of us are more literate than you (e. g. Welty, Williams, Faulkner). We are also better educated and generally a lot nicer. Don’t refer to us as a bunch of hillbillies or we’ll kick your ass.
5) We have plenty of business sense (e. g., Fred Smith of Fed Ex, Sam Walton, Turner Broadcasting, MCI WorldCom, MTV, Netscape). Naturally, we do, sometimes, have small lapses in judgment (e. g. John Edwards, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, David Duke). We don’t care if you think we are dumb. We are not dumb enough to let someone move to our state in order to run for the Senate. If someone tried to do that, we would kick his/her ass.
6) Don’t laugh at our Civil War monuments. If Lee had listened to Longstreet and flanked Meade at Gettysburg instead of sending Pickett up the middle, you’d be paying taxes to Richmond instead of Washington. If you visit Stone Mountain and complain about the carving, we’ll kick your ass.
7) We are fully aware of how high the humidity is, so shut the hell up. Just spend your money and get the hell out of here, or we’ll kick your ass.
8) Don’t order wheat toast at Cracker Barrel. Everyone will instantly know that you’re a Yankee. Eat your biscuits like God intended with gravy. And don’t put sugar on your grits, or we’ll kick your ass.
9) Don’t fake a Southern accent. This will incite a riot, and you will get your ass kicked.
10) Don’t talk about how much better things are at home because we know better. Many of us have visited Northern hellholes like Detroit, Chicago, and DC, and we have the scars to prove it. If you don’t like it here, Delta is ready when you are. Move your ass on home before it gets kicked.
11) Yes, we know how to speak proper English. We talk this way because we don’t want to sound like you. We don’t care if you don’t understand what we are saying. All other Southerners understand what we are saying, and that’s all that matters. Now, go away and leave us alone, or we’ll kick your ass.
12) Don’t complain that the South is dirty and polluted. None of OUR lakes or rivers have caught fire recently. If you whine about OUR scenic beauty, we’ll kick your ass all the way back to Boston Harbor.
13) Don’t ridicule our Southern manners. We say sir and ma’am. We hold doors open for others. We offer our seats to old folks because such things are expected of civilized people. Behave yourselves around our sweet little gray-haired grandmothers or they’ll kick some manners into your ass just like they did ours.
14) So you think we’re quaint, or losers, because most of us live in the countryside? That’s because we have enough sense to not live in filthy, smelly, crime infested cesspools like New York, Baltimore or Boston. Make fun of our fresh air, and we’ll kick your ass.
15) Last, but not least, DO NOT DARE to come down here and tell us how to cook barbecue. This will get your ass shot (right after it is kicked). You’re lucky we let you come down here at all. Criticize our barbecue, and you will go home in a pine box… minus your ass. | | Tuesday, August 17th, 2004 | | 8:27 am |
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince so apperently book 6 got a name shortly after my birthday (funny my movie sites ussually keep me informed of harry potter book, guess after the last movie they don't care much) well i decided to go after harry potter news and found it had been named, is about half way done and that there is an EXCERPT of book 6 cleverly hidden on her website. any news sourse has detailed, easy to follow instructions stasrting with "go to the door that used to say do not disturb on it" but i have never been to that site (whitch is vast with lots and lots of slow loading flash screens) after about 40 min of looking for a bloody door (another site had pictures of it but no bloody directions where it is) i went to a yahoo chat room and muddled around there til some one finaly told me "click her hair tie". so another 20 min later (the dart baord is finiky and tyou have to find a lightswitch in the dark, turn the light switch off then click the darkness by the handle of the door) and i found it!!!!!!!!
its all of 3 lines long and can be found in its entirety below the first article that i read that sent me on the damned harry potter adventure in the first place (i thought excerpt as in a paragraph, a chapter, not 2 sentances). i'm really yempted to post it here, but some want to remain virginal till they have the prose in-hand, but if you ask nicly i'll email them or read them to you over a candle light dinner (you pay for the dinner of course).
alright, that was my adventure of the morning. time to clean

well i left a depressed LJ post a few days ago, stressing over sevreal issues in my life.it didn't seem to post (happening a bit latly). but i'm better now. i think all the theropy i needed was to laugh at stuart as he fired me and got an extra bit of satisfaction in telling him not to call me back like harry ("if its me coming in and saving your ass again or closing the store, then i hope you can get the store boarded up cheap"). i had to resist calling him a fat bastard, i wanted to get my point of "this is the best thing he's done for me in ages" accross. really i haven't tried all that hard there scence he gave me the management positon in july and then within 2 days harry was back again. i even came in to cover harry walking out again after that. so i'm on the hunt for employment again, but i'm happy bout it. | | Friday, July 30th, 2004 | | 10:50 am |

Unexpected Party so i went to help GIGI move a bunch of her antique furnature around. she is not convinced i'm a klutz. i got home and mary was on the answering machine, so i called her back and she screamed STRAWBERRY DAQURI PARTY. last tuesday, her and brad and brian and karyn and kcat went and picked strawberries. we sliced them up and mary made jam (i have jar) and me and someone else (mica i think, but not sure) made like 6 blender fulls of strawberry daquries.
